Pastoral Leaders

Our Pastoral Leaders groups meet at least once a term. Meetings will allow for the our student support leaders to come together to collaborate, share good practice and build links and networks across the Collegiate.

The meetings are chaired by a key stage specialist and all members contribute to the agenda. Items might include; issues or milestones facing their year group/ key stage, strategies to improve attendance, increase parental engagement, work effectively with a team of tutors or build good study habits.

Amy Wild
Pinner High School

My name is Amy, and I am currently the Head of Year 8 at Pinner High School, where I have been a member of the pastoral team since 2018. Prior to this, I gained valuable pastoral experience at both a British international school in Asia and an all-girls school in North London.

I began my career as a PE teacher before becoming a Head of Department, but I quickly realised how much I valued building strong relationships and supporting students’ wellbeing. This inspired me to pursue a career in pastoral leadership. Over my 18 years in education, I have developed extensive experience in safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing, attendance, and positive behaviour support.

I am excited to take on the role of KS3 Pastoral Lead for HCA and look forward to meeting and working alongside the other KS3 leads across the borough. By collaborating, sharing ideas, and learning from one another, I hope we can continue to strengthen the transition into secondary education and provide the best possible foundations for our young people as they begin their secondary school journey and beyond.

Joel Suthesh
Nower Hill High School

I am an Assistant Headteacher at Nower Hill High School, having previously been a Head of Year. My pastoral experience has enabled me to support students’ wellbeing, build positive relationships, and help young people thrive by working together. It has also given me the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across our Pinner Cluster, sharing good practice and strengthening pastoral support. At the start of my career, I enjoyed being a Form Tutor, building lasting relationships with students and families. I am excited to work with schools across the collegiate to further strengthen our pastoral provision and ensure that students leave our schools happy, resilient, and equipped with lifelong skills.

Yasmine Lamrhari
Kingsmead School

As Head of Year 11, I’m passionate about supporting students not just academically, but as whole people. I believe real success comes from combining a strong academic curriculum with genuine readiness for life beyond the classroom, resilience, confidence, and the everyday skills that help young people thrive.

Alongside my pastoral role, I teach Drama, which has shaped how I see education: as a space for expression, collaboration, and building the confidence to take risks. I bring that same energy into pastoral care, working closely with students, families, and staff to make sure every young person feels supported and set up to succeed.

I’m also a keen believer in the power of networking and building strong relationships, with colleagues, students, and the wider school community, because I know that success is rarely achieved alone.

Laxmi Modi

Hatch End High School

I am Laxmi Modi; I have been Head of Year 13 at Hatch End High School since 2019. I have also had additional roles as EPQ centre coordinator and coordinator of Sociology. From these I have gained valuable experience in raising attainment and maximising progress for all students using a range of tried and trusted as well as innovative strategies. I have also gained an in-depth knowledge of the various pathways post-18.

Before my role at Hatch End High School, I worked in South London as a Curriculum leader for social sciences, which developed my capabilities in safeguarding, forming professional partnerships with parents and leading staff with a variety of experience levels.

I am passionate about the impact of education and believe that fantastic pastoral care is at the heart of this. I am looking forward to collaborating with key stage 5 leaders across the collegiate to further improve Sixth Form provision across the borough.
